After a brief flashback to how Harley Quinn met the Joker, the story jumps forward to the events of Fear State, and Alleytown, where Harley and Poison Ivy's seed clone are running from Keepsake and his Caucus of Corruption. They are able to make their escape in a classic muscle car unaware that Keepsake is on their tail.

Meanwhile at SAFE headquarters, Kevin is freeing Hugo Stranger's abandon goons and has a moral dilemma when he finds Lockwood trapped. Kevin finally saves the second in command goon but finds himself trapped. Lockwood leaves him for dead, but Sam comes to the rescue.

Back in the car chase, Keepsake catches up and destroys the car. Harley and Ivy seem doomed when Gardner and Catwoman show up and blind side Keepsake. The girls make a break for it into the sewer. There they find Ivy's seed self and rejoin her and her clone to make them one person again.
